Just a SWINGIN' {Friday Fiesta Foto}

Now how fun does this look! FarmBoy and Ky made this swing last week and put it up in an old tree we have in our back yard. She has been on it constantly!

Photobucket

I am just waiting for the screams of "MOM!! I HIT THE TREE" as I nurse a broken arm, but oh-well...since when do 10 year olds listen to their moms anyway. Besides, I must admit, there is some adrenaline that gets to flowing when you get too close to the tree...ah, yes....I've been a swingin' too!! I was scared to death of breaking the dang limb out of the tree, but here I am, still in one piece! Now FarmBoy, well, I tried to take him out, with my oh-so-long-slender legs (now THAT is funny people!!), and I almost wet myself. I had no idea that FarmBoy could bend like that! I have myself my own GUMBY!!

Like John Anderson sings..."And we were swingin', Yes we were swingin'".

What is it about the feeling of swinging? Does it brings us back to being in our mothers arms being rocked? Maybe a swing is God's way of rocking us. Hmmmm! I like that Idea. Very few people dislike swinging. Must be something to do with God. I love that picture. What kind of a camera do you have to get such wonderful action shots?

I LOVE this photo. And now I'm totally singin' the song differently than I ever have before..."Little Ky, she's just as pretty as the angels when they sing..."....la-lalalala-la! Whoops, slipped a key there. ;)

One of these weeks I will have to join you in this Friday Fiesta. I surely love seeing your submissions. :)

I love the post. You make me miss home in Georgia though where we had big trees for kids to swing in. All we've got in our neighborhood here in Florida is a golf course. God I miss the country sometimes.

It sure will be sad to miss these moments. :-( Especially during your favorite time of year. Is it worth it?

I sure am glad that you all liked this picture! And yes, there is something "freeing" about swinging...like there really isn't a care in the world. I will have to agree with Frizzy, it is God's way of rocking us...I really like that idea. Frizzy also asked about my camera...now I know you all are going to laugh, because it is an ancient digital artifact (that Ang was so gracious to want to trash it!! haha) It is a 2megapixel Olympus, like 6 yrs old...and it just takes awesome fotos for me. But it takes the worst indoor shots! Regarding the "action shots", I just take lots n lots of fotos while she is moving...and if she is running, I "plan ahead" at where she is going to be. When my nephews were in town, I had a heck of a time getting good shots, they are just too dang busy!!

Now, for this last comment, by Miss Angie....this is my bestest pal ever (15 yrs we've been bf). She is trying to lay a guilt trip on me...but for the record---NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, maybe a little!

Thanks to you all for stopping in, and Momster...you have no IDEA how thrilled I was that you were singing that song with me!! YOU ROCK!!

Thanks for being so open today. I am sorry to hear you were sick for a year. No fun. I hope that isn't what has caused trouble w/IF. Did you know your regular doctor can order many of the basic tests to rule out causes for IF? Also, some insurances will cover the testing for IF but will not cover the actual in depth treatments. This was very helpful to us anyway. email my personal account if you would like to chat more privately.
